Theobromine is probably the utmost famous molecule in cacao. It is directly linked to the Latin name of the cacao tree: Theobroma Cacao. Theo means ‘God’ and Broma means ‘food’.
PEA is an alkaloid naturally occurring in our bodies and cacao stimulates the release of PEA in the brain. Specifically in the part of the brain that is associated with emotions.
