The responsibility of bringing sacred plants into modern markets

As an Irish company supplying an indigenous plant medicine to Ireland, we feel it is our responsibility to comment on cultural appropriation and to discuss the responsibility that comes with bringing such plant medicines to modern markets.

For those of you that don't know our origin story, Saoró is rooted in Shamanism with the spirit of the brand being guided in this light, and a genuine desire to share cacao as a sacred medicine rather than a commodity. Our ethos is activist-led. Profits are reinvested into community. We prioritise meaningful support for both our Irish community and our Indigenous producer partners, while also placing great care on flavour and quality.

How did The Saoró Experience begin?

Where Saoro Experience started

How the brand originated and came about is quite unique and special. In 2014, our founder Vivienne had began her Shamanic journey to access deeper hidden parts of herself and has since been on a path of growth and expansion in a myriad of miraculous ways.

Why do we do Group Work with Cacao?

Group energy in presence is dynamic. It allows us a beautiful and spacious container in which many things can arise and be held old wounds and troubles but also greater awareness and new ways forward. That's what Saoró wishes to support in our collaborations, opening spaces in community with others and Mama Cacao in order to support healing and the birthing of a new world.

Introducing South American Shamanic Waters

Saoró is delighted to present a range of Shamanic Waters for individual & group ceremonial use. Used for generations by the Shamans of South America in ceremony and in healing rituals, these waters can act as an aid to open or close sacred space, to clear heavy energy, as protection, as a blessing, to give thanks, to welcome abundance and luck into your life.
