No Other Way
There is a stirring /
Heart of Hearts /
Through flesh, through bone /
Light shines /
Undiminished
There is a stirring /
Heart of Hearts /
Through flesh, through bone /
Light shines /
Undiminished
I can hear the river crying /
The whisper of the wind /
The beat of Mother Earth's heart /
In my heart today
Do you remember spinning on the green? /
Arms spread wide /
Faces to the sky /
Who could spin the longest?
Hold me as I leap /
Falling, falling /
Into fear /
And into freedom
I heard the Earth speak to me this morning,
As I bled on her bosom, the day adorning.
In the sacred dance of life's creation,
A celebration of menstruation, a divine sensation.
Calling all poets & poetry-lovers…. Welcome to Saoro poetry month - where we celebrate all things poetry…
Amidst the lights, the cheer, and merry songs,
There lingers a quiet, where solitude belongs.
Now every cell feels the shame /
The programmes passed down from generation to generation /
Can I break the cycle? /
Can I be the one to say no more? /
Can I be the one to break free of addictions allure?
In shadows deep, where secrets dwell,
A woman's heart, a hidden spell,
Made to feel shame for who she is,
Somethings beginning Somethings ending Life’s cycles raging through And around us.
