Saorò’s Andean Cacao is sourced from the high jungle of the Quillabamba valley close to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley.
Its a beautiful blend of the revered Chuncho and Peruvian Criollo beans.
The Cacao of this region is famed for its richness and complexity of flavours and aromas.
Chuncho was the Cacao of the Incas and is still harvested in the region by their descendants, the Machiguenga tribe.
At Saoró we are dedicated to supporting communities in a sustainable way. In Peru we do this by working with cooperatives that support Indigenous Cacao producers, like the Machiguenga.

Wow, what a gorgeous product. The package presentation, the details, instructions are all beautifully created. The Cacao bar itself is so lovely, and extremely helpful as each block is 10g for easy measuring.
And of course, the taste is buttery and beautiful, as we have come to expect from Saoro. I’m always so impressed with Saoro Cacao, and ‘In Beauty I Walk’ holds the same excellent standards and does not disappoint ♥️

Just unboxed mine and had my first cuppa last night…the packaging alone is exquisite 💜
The taste is very different. Got hints of rum and cherry. Did a little journeying with her this morning. She’s definitely got a robust presence. I would say full, earthy loving and full of character 🙏

Absolutely blown away with this Peruvian Cacao powerhouse, the beautiful flavours, the packaging, and the pure heart opening medicine that this little hummingbird holds is just outstanding. It was a difficult feat to beat the rest of her saoro sisters at the top of my favourites list but at the moment that is where she rests #numberone
