Gary Patterson has a vision that we go back to the old ways, the simple life. That we live in harmony with the land and with each other. The way we connect to the land is through our bodies. Many of us are living from the mind. Gary’s main offering is a modality called Somatic Alignment which is based on nervous system regulation and safety. Once the body feels safe, it allows us to process emotions that we didn’t have the capacity to in that moment. Gary helps men to get to know and express their emotions and holds a safe masculine presence for women to heal wounds inflicted by the masculine.
Shame is a deep root that many of us carry. A feeling that we are not worthy of love, we are not good enough or it is not safe. As we look at these shadow aspects of self, we bring them to light. The shame dissolves and our self-worth increases. We all know what we need to do to be healthier and happier but until we make the subconscious conscious, it will sabotage us and we will wonder why. Cacao is a beautiful medicine that can help us on this journey from our mind down into our hearts and bodies. It doesn’t happen over night, it takes time and persistance but it is worth it.
Gary is based in west Roscommon offering 1:1 sessions, group sessions and also runs retreats.
