The shame, it crept across my face, As suddenly, I fell from grace. The innocence that once was me Slipped away for all to see.
Each day, the world felt cold and strange, My soul was shattered, out of range. A girl who once danced in the sun, Now lost, afraid, her heart undone.
I felt dirty, ashamed, and unlovable, A weight too heavy, insurmountable. My voice was taken, my spirit torn, Left to face a world forlorn.
In every smile, I hid the pain, The quiet tears fell like the rain. My dreams dissolved, my hope grew thin, Battling a storm I couldn’t win.
A silence held in every glance, Trapped in fear, no second chance. I longed for someone just to see The broken child inside of me.
But in the shadows, strength will grow, A seed of light from depths below. Though darkness loomed and nights felt long, Inside my soul, there stirred a song.
The cracks of shame will one day fade, And from the hurt, I’ll not be swayed. For in this pain, I found a way, To heal, to breathe, to greet the day.
One day, I’ll rise, my heart set free, Reclaim the self he stole from me. No chains of shame will bind my soul, I’ll find my way and make me whole.
