Activism: A Month of Conversation

Curated by Michael Ryan, this month-long exploration invites us to reflect on what activism truly means — not only as social or political action, but as a deeper expression of our shared humanity. Together, we’ll inquire into where activism arises from, why it’s needed, and what inner and outer forces both support and resist it.

This offering is a space to explore activism as an act of belonging — a way of joining the great conversation of being alive, of caring deeply for life and the natural world. We’ll look at how the Western psyche, often shaped by comfort, control, and a subtle sense of unworthiness, can both suppress and inspire our impulse to act.

Through dialogue, reflection, and shared inquiry, we’ll open to the possibility that activism is not just something we do, but something we are when we allow ourselves to feel and respond to the world with courage, clarity, and compassion.
