For centuries the indigenous people of the Andes have been using palo santo (literally “holy wood”) for spiritual purification and energy cleansing. When the wood is burned it’s believed to clear negative energy and restore tranquility and calm. Burning palo santo sticks for ritual smudging also welcomes creativity, love and good fortune into your space. The wood can help brighten energy and promote feelings of positivity and joy. The scent has also been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance clarity and concentration.
How to Use:
Light a stick of palo santo and let the flame burn for up to one minute. Blow it out and walk through the areas you wish to cleanse, allowing the smoke to waft through the room. With a spirit of gratitude, ask the smoke for its blessing and protection.
Palo Santo & Sustainability:
Our palo santo comes in small bunches, including six sticks that are bound with a handmade, colourful cord. For every bunch that we are selling for our Sonqo partners, another palo santo tree is planted to support this protected species. Each stick is 10 cm long and 1.5 cm wide.
