Táim anseo – to share this timely Mugwort workshop with ye all ❤️
Mugwort is an ancient healer of Ireland and many other lands. She is also known as ‘‘cronewort’’ and carries the wisdom of an Elder. She holds space for us to process, to feel and to heal in ways that may not have been accessible to us through the human dimension. Mugwort is the ‘‘Grandmother’’ we all have longed for. Holding the power of the womb, Mugwort is a deeply feminine plant which correlates physically with the female reproductive system. Known as an ally for menstruation, menopause, to prepare for birth and to assist birth or as an abortifacient.
Mugwort is known as an ancient druidic plant, one of magic, and spiritual healing too. A plant for the visionaries, dreamers, healers and medicine people – it calls you to the path of your own souls journey. Its ability to enhance dreamlike and recall makes it synonymous with dreaming – it supports us in tapping into the subconscious and bringing to light the unseen parts of ourselves.
I believe Mugwort is calling us to work with her in this time to help us to remember and reconnect with the ancient healing wisdom of the Earth and our ancestors, particularly of the Irish/ W.I.S.E (Wales/Ireland/Scotland/England) Isles, which have been heavily colonized and much of our healing practices in relation to plants/healing ceremonies been ruptured.
This workshop:
I will share my many years of experience in relationship with Mugwort. I have been working & remembering closely with her for 6 years now and am still always learning, as the teachings that she offers seem to be never-ending, and always deeply humbling.
In the first hour I will offer a workshop on the physical, emotional and spiritual properties of Mugwort. I will share on ways to work with it and invite it into your life – from growing/harvesting, medicine making, to dreaming and ritual.
We will then have a little Mugwort ceremony together, where we will journey to meet her, ingest some medicine(if you have it), and see what messages she has to bring through for the circle.
