Healing drumming circle. We at the Irish School of Shamanic Studies & Alltar Holistic centre Linenhall street, Castlebar, Co Mayo are delighted to announce the return of our fortnightly drumming circle on Friday evening 19th January with Shamanic practitioner and teacher Aldo Jordan. Starting at 7pm – 9pm. Cost, €15 . If you have an interest in exploring the work of the Shaman, this is an ideal opportunity for you. Studies have shown that drumming lowers both blood pressure and stress hormones. The active component of drumming helps reduce stress in a number of ways. It’s fun, it’s physical, and it’s a great diversion from other stress-filled activities. 

Drumming is also meditative, inducing relaxed mental states that reduce anxiety and tension. Drumming combined with  breathing and visualization techniques offers even more stress reduction benefits.
