Meet the Artist – Ruth McDonald

Meet Ruth McDonald, The Earthweaver.

The Earthweaver is a living, breathing tapestry of creativity, sacred living, and feminine remembrance.

Founded by Ruth McDonald, a ceremonial artist, guide of ritual and soulful expression, The Earthweaver creates a sanctuary for clay to become prayer. Ritual to become rhythm. Truth is witnessed and woven with love. With offerings spanning ceremonial ceramics, elemental guidance, meaningful retreats, and bespoke one-to-one healing sessions, The Earthweaver supports women in reclaiming their inner voice, honouring their seasons, and walking through life with reverence and radiance. Each vessel, ritual, and gathering is a sacred invitation to slow down, to feel deeply, and to remember who you are. The Earthweaver weaves unique living sculptures that act as companions, guides and space-holders. Made of clay, wood, leather and glass, each vessel is bespoke and intention-led making them deeply personal and sacred. From intention to tangible. These are not just objects. They are offerings. They are vessels of soul. This is more than a business. It is a movement of remembrance. A weaving of what was, what is, and what longs to rise within you.

About Ruth

I am Ruth. One who walks in love, who weaves from the root of devotion, who answers the call of the Earth and the line of the Mothers. I am she who follows Spirit into the unknown. I am a woman woven of earth and ember, with hands that remember the shape of the sacred. I move slowly, intentionally, like someone who has heard the old songs and knows they are meant to be lived, not just sung. There is a deep listening within me; to the land, to silence, to the spaces between words, to the light between trees of a moss-laced forest. I carry a softness that holds strength like the oak; rooted, embodied and ancient. I dwell close to the root of things, where wild and wise meet. Clay speaks through my fingers. Fire listens to my breath. Wind dances with my hair. Water flows through my dreams. I gather the fragments of story, of self, of lineage, and offer them back as beauty, as truth, as threshold. I walk the edge where ritual begins and creativity becomes remembrance. My presence is a hearth: warm, ancestral, tender. I carry medicine in my hands, stories in my hips and freedom in my blood. My path has never been straight but spiral, each a turn back to remembrance. I am a weaver of meaning. A keeper of the slow.
