
Ayurveda Style Cacao Elixer
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Saoró Barista Cacao
- 2 cups plant-based milk
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder ~ anti-inflammatory, warming
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger ~ digestive aid
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon ~ warming, balances blood sugar
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder ~ calming, digestive
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup ~ optional, for sweetness
- A pinch of black pepper ~ enhances turmeric absorption
- A small pinch of Himalayan salt ~ balances doshas
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the spices.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the plant-based milk until steaming but not boiling.
- Whisk in the cacao and spice mixture into the warm milk until smooth and well incorporated.
- Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat, stir in honey or maple syrup if desired, and add a pinch of Himalayan salt.
- Pour into a mug and enjoy mindfully.
