Ayurveda Style Cacao Elixer

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Saoró Barista Cacao
  • 2 cups plant-based milk
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder ~ anti-inflammatory, warming
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger ~ digestive aid
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon ~ warming, balances blood sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder ~ calming, digestive
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup ~ optional, for sweetness
  • A pinch of black pepper ~ enhances turmeric absorption
  • A small pinch of Himalayan salt ~ balances doshas

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the spices.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the plant-based milk until steaming but not boiling.
  • Whisk in the cacao and spice mixture into the warm milk until smooth and well incorporated.
  • Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat, stir in honey or maple syrup if desired, and add a pinch of Himalayan salt.
  • Pour into a mug and enjoy mindfully.
